Saturday Night Walk-in Movies

Sat. June 24 @ Dusk @ 113 Library Ave

  • Movies continue every other week: July 8, 22, August 5, 19, September 2
  • Family friendly flicks will be shown under the stars in the Community Green Space. Join us every other Saturday at dusk!

Hula hooping workshop – making and playing

Sat. July 22 @ 6-8 pm @ 113 Library Ave

  • During this fun and explorative how-to-make-a-hoop workshop, participants will be able to get a hoop cut and sized just for their body, and then, both children and adults can decorate it to their personal style.
  • Dawn Smith-Pliner will be performing and facilitating hula hoop games such as the classic spin and pass, rabbit hole, and hula hoop high. 

National Night Out

Tues. August 1 @ Giorgetti from 4-7 PM.

  • National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships to make our neighborhoods safer. This is Rutland’s 15th Annual, and NeighborWorks is partnering with the Alliance Community Fellowship Church, the Rutland Rec, Rutland City Police Department, and the Department of Corrections to make this event super fun!

Neighborhood-wide Yard Sale

Sun. August 6 @ 9 am – 1 pm

  • We’ll do the marketing, you decide what to sell!
  • NO sign-up required – just set up your yard on that Sunday and see how much you can earn.
  • Remember, one person’s trash is another person’s treasure!

NORU Fall Festival

Sat. Oct 14 @ 3-5 pm @ 113 Library Ave

  • Pumpkin carving & Painting
  • Horse-drawn Wagon rides around the block
  • Apple Cider, Donuts, Halloween Movie at Night (PG!)

We’re still looking for volunteers, donors, and organizers!
