National Night Out - Rutland 2017

National Night Out - Rutland 2017

National Night Out – Rutland, VT was an incredible success this year, thanks to an amazing group of Rutlanders who donated their time, resources, and passion to making it possible.

A HUGE THANK YOU to our co-organizers Erron Hubbell, Kevin Blongy, Chuck Hall, April Cioffi, Bianca Zanella, and Michael Nunn. Their dedication and enthusiasm for hosting National Night Out made it possible for over 1,000 Rutlanders to join us for a fun and engaging night of fostering positive law enforcement and community interactions.

Another big thank you to our volunteers: Bill Gilliam & Tony Romeo (Grill Masters), Jim Montgeon, Matt Olewnik, Sharon Davis and Mike Davis, Melinda Humphrey, Tom DePoy, Rutland City Alderman Ed Larson, Mandala House, and the Rutland City Police Cadets. A special shout out to ACF Rutland and Mission City Church volunteers for providing us with snow cones, bouncy houses, face painting, popcorn, and much more. Additionally, thank you to Rutland Recreation for sharing the space at Giorgetti Athletic Complex, running the slip n’ slide, and providing fun GO PLAY activities.

To our sponsors who made it possible, we are very appreciative of your generosity: NeighborWorks of Western Vermont, Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility, Freihofer Bakery Outlet, Creed Ice Co Inc, Casella, Thomas Dairy, Stewart’s Shops, Jiffy Mart, and Frito-Lay.

To the 35 + organizations who came and brought fun, engaging activities to educate us about your services, thank you.

In keeping this letter as short as possible, I know that I am not acknowledging all the people and organizations that helped with National Night Out this year. To them all, from the Rutland City Fire Dept. who helped us take down the tents to DJ Brett and Commander Prouty who got us all dancing, THANK YOU!! We’ll see you next year at White Pool.
