mission to create affordable housing for working Vermonters...
NeighborWorks is developing various housing projects in Rutland and Addison counties. The first, and largest, is located in Middlebury; others are in Rutland City, and Tinmouth. When they are complete Vermont will have 35 brand new quality units of affordable housing!
NWWVT has also entered into a Three Town Planning Grant with the towns of Tinmouth, Middletown Springs, and Shrewsbury; all of which are located in Rutland County.
The grant allows NWWVT to establish a complete housing program model that will help small towns across Vermont develop quality, affordable housing for working families. The model, named Westmont, shows communities from start to finish how to go from simply talking about affordable housing through the process to actually develop, create and construct affordable housing.
